About the Harbaugh Seaside Trail
A 3-acre coastal overlook wedged between the railroad tracks and the bluff edge, right where Solana Beach meets Cardiff-by-the-Sea. The flat, wide path takes about 20 minutes round trip and ends at a deck looking straight down the coast — arguably the best free sunset bench in town, and nobody's fighting you for the parking.
Access is on foot from the Seaside State Beach lot: cross Solana Vista Drive, cross Highway 101 at the signal, and follow the Coastal Rail Trail north to the property gate.

Field notes — coming soon
Nobody on this desk has hiked the slot yet, so we’re not going to fake it. This space is reserved for Kendall’s own first-hand account once he’s made the trip — the ladders, the squeeze, what it’s actually like up there.
