What Botox costs in Solana Beach

Most Solana Beach providers quote a price at your consultation rather than online. These 4 publish theirs. Brands are dosed differently, so compare the per-unit price for the same product, and ask how many units your areas usually take. Who can inject Botox in California

The Medical Board of California treats Botox injections as the practice of medicine. A physician can inject, and so can a registered nurse, nurse practitioner or physician assistant working under a physician's supervision. An appropriate exam has to come first, and it can't be delegated to a registered nurse. Estheticians and medical assistants aren't allowed to inject.

That's why every med spa on this page names a medical director, or is run by a physician. If a provider can't tell you who supervises their injectors, keep looking.

Before you book

  1. 01

Ask who will inject you, and their license.

In California that should be a physician, or a nurse practitioner, physician assistant or registered nurse working under one. Estheticians and medical assistants can't inject.

  2. 02

Ask which brand, and the price per unit.

Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Jeuveau, Daxxify and Letybo are dosed differently, so compare per-unit prices for the same product, and ask how many units your areas usually take.

  3. 03

    Ask about minimums and memberships.

Several Solana Beach providers set a unit minimum or price their best rate behind a monthly membership. Check both before comparing quotes.

  4. 04

Ask what happens at the follow-up.

Results build over one to two weeks. Ask whether a touch-up visit is included and whether it costs extra.
